DN300 static mixer- Overview
Static mixer is a new type of high-efficiency mass transfer equipment without any mechanical operating components. It is composed of mixing elements with different geometric shapes, arranged and combined in a regular manner, and placed in a pipeline. When the material flow that needs to be mixed enters the static mixer along the pipeline, the material flow is cut into many layers through a special channel composed of a set of alternating left and right spiral elements under its own function, and each layer is very thin; Furthermore, the material flow will completely and continuously flip within it. Due to the continuity of the material flow, any particles in the material flow are forced to squeeze towards the pipe wall, and at the connection surface of the two spiral elements, they are forced to change their rotation direction, temporarily leaving the pipe wall, and then squeezing towards the pipe wall again. This is the complete radial mixing effect, which eliminates the differences in temperature, density, viscosity, and composition of the material flow in the radial direction.

(1) The flow pattern of fluid in a static mixing reactor is closer to piston flow, and can eliminate the concentration and velocity distribution of materials in the radial direction, enabling the reactants to achieve uniform mixing at the microscale as much as possible.
(2) The increase in reactant concentration increases the supersaturation of the reaction system, which can reduce the critical nucleation size of particles.
(3) Increasing the flow rate of reactants can enhance the precipitation reaction and facilitate the generation of finer particles.
